The Grade 4 Camp

Last week we we were on camp.We went to Simonsberg Cristian Centre.

We went to Giraffe House and we saw llamas, zebras, giraffes, snakes, spiders, goats and ostriches.

 My friends and I holded a 5 m snake.

On camp we played in a mud pit and we did an obstacle course, Elkanah's Got Talent, we had a bonfire, we played in the forest and we build forts.

When we got home I was so tired I just slept all day.

Our visit to the Sinai Academy

Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant.It was a great outing. The Rabbi blew the ram’s horn, it was very loud.I learnt about the Jewish religion and the things they do.They speak Hebrew.The Hebrew language comes from  Israel 4000 years ago.They believe the  ark of the covenant  is buried under the broken temple. They have a Shabbat meal every Friday with challah bread and grape juice.On every door is a mezuzah which they kiss every time they walk thru the door.The boys had to wear a kipper on there head.    .

The Butterfly Lion book report

                                    Name of the book  : The Butterfly Lion Author  : Michael Morpurgo Genre  : Children's story Characters  : Bertie, Millie, The White Prince Setting  : Timbavati in Africa, England, London, France Summery  : Bertie's dad was a hunter and killed a lion cubs mother and Bertie raised the cub. Later he went to boarding school and the lion was sent to a circus. Bertie escaped boarding school and found a girl called Millie. Later Bertie finds the lion and brings him home. Millie and Bertie get married and Millie is telling the whole story. Lesson from the book  : Friends will always help you and others My feelings about the book  : Confused, Exited and Curious
